Before photography became such a big part of my life, I spent years working as a nurse. I didn't expect the two careers to have so much in common, but looking back, I think nursing shaped the kind of photographer I wanted to become.

Nursing taught me how to show up for people, think on my feet, and stay calm when things don't go according to plan. It taught me to pay attention to the little things, meet people where they're at, and understand just how much it matters to feel cared for during the moments that matter most.

I think that's part of what drew me to elopements. There's something special about choosing to do things your own way, slowing down, and making space for what matters to you. I wanted to be part of creating those experiences for people - not just show up with a camera, take pretty photos, and call it a day.

Now, I get to bring what I learned as a nurse into the way I photograph and help plan elopements. Whether we're figuring out the details of a Colorado mountain adventure, adjusting when the weather has other plans, or just taking a minute to breathe and be present, I want you to know you're in good hands.

Because yes, I care about creating beautiful photographs. But I care just as much about how you feel while we're making them. I want you to feel comfortable being yourselves, soak up the experience, and walk away with photos that bring you right back to how it all felt.

At the end of the day, this has never just been about photos to me - it’s about people first, always.
